The scorching heat burned the backs of the trio as they huddled around around the grass. After waddling through the plains trying to find the right spot, their feet were aching with mud stuck between their toes. Aster’s two new brothers sat behind him, watching closely as he dug a little hole in the grass. He then took off his gloves and squished the soil between his digits, turning back and giving a little nod to them both.
Wiping off sweat from his fuzzy forehead, aster picked a handful of seeds and spaced them apart in their dirt beds. His gently patted the ground and heaved up the sprinkling can, tilting it over and letting the wat
The bell by the plant shops’ door greeted him as he swung it open. An overwhelming, but soothing smell greeted him as well. The scent of flourishing flowers was all around him in little pots that packed the green shelves on either side. A multitude of different species and colours were spread about, with some of the larger pots in the middle of the room, gathering around a little brown table that was stuffed with enough pots to make it difficult to see its surface.
The little shop was the last one on its street, which allowed Aster to immediately see the view of a meadow on the right side of the shop, which was almost completely glass.
“Oof!”
A harsh pounding on his chest woke Aster up, his heart immediately starting to rapidly ram against his chest, his tired vision taking a moment to a adjust and his ringing ears having trouble hearing the figure that was apparently bouncing on his stomach.
“Sis?” he groaned, wondering which one it could be. He quickly realised that it couldn't be either; the Pokémon jumping on him was a little bit heavier than a Zigzagoon. He finally noticed the two orange feet as well...and the smell of the damp floorboards beside him...and the noise of early customers downstairs.
Obviously, he wasn't home; he hadn't been

“-diot!”
The retired explorer’s ears flapped and stood weakly, struggling to stop itself from kneeling and curling back to his head with its tattered state. Admittedly, he was too scared to sleep, or faint for that matter. Even if he wanted to stop trying, he didn’t want to stay here.
“-far! What were you thinking!?”
It was the squeakier voice from the sister. Even if he couldn’t hear all her words, it was easy to tell with her loud voice breaking under her screams.
“I didn’t know it would be like that!” the whining voice was no doubt the brother, the slightly deeper, but still c

The sun shone harshly on the tired, beaten bodies of the failures laying at the entrance of Subseed forest. The poster Telma had given him had led him here, although looking at the splinters and spikes poking out of some of these injuries, it was hard to remember why he wanted to press on in the first place. He could practically feel the wooden daggers sinking into his skin already. He grabbed and scratched his arm, feeling a cold shiver up his spine despite the hot air that scraped his face.
...But then there it was. His big, blue arms spread were wide and welcoming, his soft skin, the large ear-to-ear smile. Aster couldn't help it; his leg

“If you’re gonna eat here, you’re gonna need to order something, hon.” The large rabbit leaned on the counter, her ears -which were perhaps even larger than her- somehow strong enough to continue to serve the other customers beside him on their own.
Aster stared back at her, his claw still in his mouth without a word coming out of it. He briefly stared at her blankly, until he finally delved his free claw into the little straw basket he had set down on the counter, and pulled out a handful of coins. He poured them beside the rabbit’s paw, who then stared back as blankly as he did.

Last time I came first place was M6, so I better do something to replace that old journal so people don't get confused.
Anyway, I've been having a really tough time at uni. Multi-Media Journalism is tougher than anything I've ever done, and with all the different news platforms to learn it's a really demanding course. I've had a lot of difficulty juggling my free time, my PMD-E writing time, and my work because of it. As I speak, I've got to write a feature article on the Health and Social Care act (2012) and three news stories for online, and it's all for Monday!
Anyway, what I'm trying to say instead of rambling like I'm doing, is that it

Oh gosh this is crazy! I thought my story was kind of terrible (or at least at the end and the perspective switching was a bit nuts) but the judges thought it was pretty rad! I'm so happy!
Anyway, let's go straight to what the judges said this time!

Yeah I'm pretty chill about it. Y'know, not gonna raise a fuss or gloat or anything. I know how to keep my cool... after days of going crazy. Although I guess if you're reading this, chances are you already know because there's only a handful of people (if that) that ever read my journals, and they all do stuff on PMD-E I think. XD
